Default 2002 camaro z28 bumping noise

Hello guys, I have a 2002 z28 m6 with 70,xxx miles and it drives perfect under normal conditions. I noticed the other day when me and a buddy were racing that when i pull off on the car in 1st gear, you can hear and feel something bumping under the car feels like something is hitting the floor beneath your feet? looked under the car but didnt notice anything that looked broken. I thought maybe the tranny mount or torque arm mount but they look ok? Any help will be greatly appreciated. I need to fix this as soon as possible because I dont want to damage anything else with this going on. Thanks guys!

What have you guys done to fix this problem in your cars, if any issues?

Check your exhaust. Does it also happen over bumps?? My guess is exhaust. Do a full scan of it grabbing it and shaking it and make sure it's all secure

to check the trans mounts you really need to get a pry bar under it and look for cracks, i have owned 16 camaros while they were mostly third gens im pretty sure they have the same or similar as the 4th gen. i replaced a lot of trans n torque arm mounts, while it may be something else i would start there.

The only time that i can feel or hear it is when I pull off pretty hard at 3/4 or more acceleration and shifting into second pretty hard. It almost feels like something is separating the driveline from the body of the car like its lifting up or something. It just started doing this last week. We raced twice and the first time is when it initially started and may have been the reason I missed second gear? The second time, it banged pretty hard during take off in 1st and it spun the tires all the way through second gear the road was crappy but it never spins like that in 2nd. Its like the rear end isnt being forced to the ground under launch acceleration.

I havent really driven it over bumps to see if it does it then. There are a couple of speed bumps close to my house Ill drive over them and see if it still does it. At first, i thought it was the exhaust too, but after doing a few test pulls and trying to pinpoint it, it feels like when i powershift to second, the driveline and the body arent moving at the same time? like the driveline moves but its trying to leave the body??

I agree, my first line of defense was going to be the torque arm and transmission mounts. I was just trying to narrow it down from listening to you guys experience with such an issue.
