Default Switched to amsoil.. Ok to mix 5/10w-30?

Local store only had 4 qts of the 5w so I grabbed 2 of the 10. No biggie? Both full synthetics and identical bottles except for 5/10

You are fine, but the end result will be a thicker oil in your engine. Probably not a big deal now that temperatures are warming up. If you are in a really cold part of Canada, you may notice that the engine has to work a bit harder on startup.

I'm near Toronto an we are warming up a bit ya. Believe it or not I had castrol syntax 0-40 in there for the last few months. I did send a uoa in for analysis. Car didn't burn a single drop of the stuff and it seemed To have worked well.

As usual fresh oil feels nice and smooth and oil presure is a tad lower with the thinner amsoil.

Check out bob is the oil guy. I would stick with 0 weight all year. Use his formula to see if you need 20 30 40 whatever weight. Basically you want whatever oil gives you ten psi per 1k Rpms when the oil is hot. To thick robs power and causes unnecesary wear. The 0 in 0-30 is the thickness at 75 degrees. It is still too thick at 75 to properly oil your motor, so the thinner the better. Either 90 or 95 % of wear happens at cold startup...
