Default Brake, abs inop, asr off all came on at once !

I was on the highway when all these lights came on and stayed on until I shut the car off yesterday , this morning about 10min into my drive, same thing all 3 lights on again. I did hit a pothole yesterday so maybe that damaged something, but what?

All those lights will come on when you have an issue with your ABS system. Usually results from corrosion at the ABS connector at one of the wheels, a bad hub bearing, cut wire, etc. I suppose you can visually check the wheel that you hit with a pothole but you might not be able to tell. You really need a scanner that can read ABS codes and it will pinpoint where the fault it.

Could also be unrelated to to the wheel sensors. You could have a problem with the EBCM or ABS motor/motorpack...won't know for sure until you get a scanner on it.

I hate to bump an old thread, but this issue has happened to me repeatedly.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start and drive car. Let car reach operating temperature.
2. Upshift or Downshift. Doesn't matter what gear. Had it happen in all 6.
3. Observe the three lights on the dash: ABS, ASR and BRAKE.

I checked for OBD codes, there are none. I can't quite troubleshoot the cause of it, except that it happens typically between speeds of 50MPH and 70MPH (4th or 5th gear).

I'll check the ABS wiring when I do my brake job next week, but any suggestions on this. Googling around shows me this tends to be a common issue.

Could be caused by different overall diameter of the front and rear tires as well. If the tires are stock sizes or the same front and rear I would have the abs computer scanned

Sounds alot like EBCM problem to me, a broken wire or bad hub would show up as a fault when pulling the ABS codes.

What is your tire height. If the tires are not the same, you will get those lights. I have them come on mine all the time. Size 28" on back and 26" on front. Rotation isn't the same.

I have the same problem as the OP. How do I scan my ABS computer to get the codes?

you need an ABS specific/capable scanner and then all you need to do is plug it into the obdII port. A normal scanner will not read any abs codes at all.

Is that something that most shops would have or is it something that I'd have to go to the dealer for? Sorry if I sound like a newbie..I never really dealt with an issue like this before.
