Idler pulley question

Default Idler pulley question
The bolt and washer thing came loose and disappeared from my idler pulley...my question is where can I buy that washer thing that goes in between the bolt and the pulley?

can I just use a regular washer inplace?

I believe you have to have the correct washer, it is a formed piece to keep pressure on the inner race of the bearing, You will have to get it at the dealer. I know when replaced my idler, it was not included.

the new 1 i got at the dealer did include the washers

There supposed to have washers? All I knew about was the bearing shields

yea - the bearing shields / covers is the part I need. Does anyone know if you can just buy that part?

I wonder if I could just go to a junk yard and find a used bearing shield?

Now I got Adavanced Auto & Auto Zone telling me that the new pulley does not come with the bearing shield...
