I work at a motorcycle shop and deal alot with fuel going bad when people let their bikes sit. I have noticed that 2-stroke mixed gasoline tends to last a little longer, the oil acts as a stabilizer.

I really don't see any other benifit other then if you were to let the car sit for months and want to keep the fuel and fuel pump from going bad.

Early this year I went to a few Kawasaki classes and the instructor races his ZX6. He has said he mixes a slight amount of 2-stroke to his full tank of gas in his bike when it sits over the winter season, but he also added that he burns it out before racing again.

That seems to make alot of sense, and i can strongly agree with it being catalyst safe. some of the 2-stroke yamaha watercrafts have cats in them, when removed they are clean.

They seem to be talking it up, people are saying noticibly smoother idle, better mpgs, etc.

My gsxr-600 has had a best of 44 mpgs, I almost check it everytank... so if i can get 45mpgs or more i'm sold on it.

I can see the 2-stroke coating the cylinder walls and slightly improving compression for better efficiency. Can't wait to try it out.

I told a guy at work and showed him the thread, he tried in on his 95 f150 with a 302 and notice smoother idle and report better gas mph. take that what its worth.

I can tell you exactly why it helps, It offsets what was taken out of the fuel in the 1st place PLUS it dilutes the Ethanol with a lubricant. Ethanol is a strong solvent and is absolute garbage, straight gasoline is actually a lubrcant but after our gov gets done ******* with it, it's basicly ****!

I DO know for a fact that the ethanol is GARBAGE!! 2 years in a row now I've had to buy new fuel lines for my weedeater and chainsaw. They were hard and dry rotted after just ONE season. Talked to a Stihl dealer and he told me it's b/c of the ethanol / get used to it.

Since then I found the ONLY 100% gasoline / ethanol free station in all of Lafayette. Its at the corner of Verot School Rd and La 92. Since then, I haven't had anymore issues with my fuel lines going to ****.

Just thought I'd share....
