Throwing enginue codes P0101, P0131, & P0151...HELP!
Hello -
I've been researching thread after thread after thread....
P0101 - Mass or Volume Airflow Circuit Range/Performance
P0131 - O2 circuit Low Voltage (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
P0151 - O2 circuit Low Voltage (Bank 1, Sensor 1?...or 2?)
Anyways...it's a 2002 Trans Am that I recently purchased. Great shape! Firehawk hood with ram air (K&N air filter), headers to tips upgraded exhaust. Of it's 71,000 miles on it, only 400 were put on it in the last 3 years!
The Engine Light comes on when I WOT it....not all the time, but I can usually get it to trip if I get on it for a bit. I have a Preditor tuner, so I have checked/cleared it twice now.
I did take it to a shop and they said where my MAF attaches to my intake was entraining air....however they didn't fix that (it was at a difficult angle, I guess). So, I managed to adjust and tighten up things.
That being said, any ideas on where I should start?
Should I buy a new MAF sensor? (I see stock is okay)
New O2 sensors?
Clean the MAF sensor? How do I do that effectively?
Any help/suggestions is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Both of the O2 sensor-related codes (P0131 & P0151) can be caused by any vacuum leak or an inaccurate MAF. (They can also be caused by water intrusion into connectors, an exhaust leak upstream of the O2 sensors, or a bad/out of balance fuel injector.)
I would start by clearing the codes, checking thoroughly for vacuum leaks, and cleaning the MAF with CRC MAF cleaner. (I don't like cleaning an MAF unless the immediate alternative is to replace it anyway because cleaning with the wrong chemical can ruin it. CRC is supposed to be safe, but that is no guarantee.)

Yea, clean that MAF. I just did mine yesterday. I clean it every 3-4 months....its 9 years old now and perfect. Just make sure you do not touch anything inside the MAF, the small fine wires. Just spray the **** out of it and then let it dry for 10 minutes. Put it back on and go.
Also, your K&N filter is garbage. It also makes MAF's dirty with the oil that you spray onto the filter. Any time it rains or is just wet out and you are driving around.....that K&N oil crap gets reactivated and it starts to shed off the filter, first thing that gets hit is the MAF. It then starts to build up a film of that oil, the oil dries, and WALLA, you have reduced performance and other undesirable effects of a dirty MAF. Get a paper filter.

Chemical for cleaning MAF
CRC MAF Cleaner or CRC QD Electronic Cleaner
Avoid the following:
- brake cleaner
- electromotive cleaner
They may melt/dissolve/strip/damage the plastic part of the MAF.
