No, just get a pair of pliers and pull it out, as it should come out pretty easily. You deff should have an o-tube (not expansion vavle) and look for the joint between the lines where the high press meets the low after the condensor and that's where your orifice tube will be located.

I removed the small aluminum hose/pipe on the bottom of the evaporator that connects to the condensor near the radiator. I beleive the orifice (expansion valve) is located inside this tube - on the evaporator side (dash board) of the hose; right?
So I can just pull the old orifice (expansion valve) out with a needle nose?

I bought a kit - compressor, drier, orifice, oil, o-rings. I will vacumn and hope for a sealed system.
