Default Radio/Window Problem

I have a stock cassette radio in my 1999 z28. Ever since I bought the the radio will randomly shut off (lights and everything like no power is getting to it) and when it does my windows will not go down. I checked the wiring as far back in the dash as I could see with just a flash light and my hand, but I didn't find any suspicous wiring or anything crossed. Do the power wires for the windows and radio run to where they could get crossed and make this happen? Does this sound like something I would need to tear into the dash to fix since I cannot see anything crossed just inside the radio bezel? It isn't anything too terrible, I just have dealt with it for a year now and it's starting to get annoying and always seems to happen when a good song is on or I need the windows down! Thanks for the help.

bcm body control module...do a search on it..under the glovebox...take it out and you have to add solder to a few connections...and it will be fixed

My bcm had a bad connection. I put some electrical tape on it to
keep the connector in tension and this seems to have helped a lot.
I know this is a half baked fix but it's free.

Was it the bcm? I'm having similar problems and dash lights won't work. How do I get the bcm out? Thanks

Search the bcm threads for removal. I think there was two panels you remove
one on the floor and one underneath the glove box then you wrestle it out.

You really do have to wrestle it. It does not come out easy. Or at least it didn't for me.
