Fan location
Fan location I was swapping over the fan motors and blades to a new housing and didn't pay attention to where they were 
.
One fan has 9 blades and one has 6 or 7. One motor is taller than the other.. I'm guessing the taller one is stage 2? I just set the blades and motors in the shroud in the picture but I need to know where they are suppose to go.

Well they will bolt up in either spot but if i don't get it right i could be running stage 1 when the motor really needs stage 2. I looked at the connectors thinking they might be slightly different but they are the same.
The fans ALWAYS come on together ...either on LOW speed or HIGH speed. Or off.
They don't come on separately. Not for an LS1.

It's an 2007 avalanche with a 5.3 (whats the designation for that motor I've always just seen it called a 5.3). Ok so they can be bolted up either spot but which motor goes with which fan?
In the picture it looks like the motors are attached to the fans already....NO?
It doesn't matter though.....they work together....on or off, low or high.
Maybe check with the dealership, just make a phone call, to see if those fans work TOGETHER like the 98-02 fans do.
But either way....you're cooling is going to be fine as long as they are working properly with the temps and PCM.

Just find out if that year vehicles PCM runs the fans together or separate.....after you know that you can finish installing it.
Me...I would drive over to the dealership, walk out into the shop and ask the A/C technician. He'll know.
