Default Simple But NEED HELP!Jack to Lift the Car

I'm about to drop the tank and I wana clarify where I should jack the car up? And where to place the flor jacks without doing any damage?

jack it up by the rear diff (don't place pressure on the cover plate or you will also be doing a gasket/oil change as well) then place the jack stands on the frame rails. it will let the rear end hang and give you optimal clearance to pull the tank.

Or jack each side up separately and slide a jack stand in place. If you can't get to the differential or don't want to risk touching the cover. I can't get a floor jack to reach my differential, too low, the jack runs into my Magnaflow muffler.

put some boards on the ground.....run over them.......that should give you enuff clearance to get to the rear

I would advise against this. If the car rolls, your SOL. Granted, it'd be pretty uncommon for it to do so, but why take the chance?

use some chock blocks if you dont trust Park and a parking brake

Yeah, I'd trust park a bit more since it locks the transmission, but a manual not so much

spray the bolts holding up the tank before hand.make a big jack pad for you jack.get a big piece metal plate and weld a tube on it so it fits in your jack.
