Default Alternator pigtail question

The plug has 4 receptacles and only one little wire (which broke and i now have to repair). I was looking at replacement pigtails from painless and such and they have the little pink wire and another that looks like it would go to the ground terminal on the alternator. Should i have this other wire as well?

BTW my car is a 2001 TA

you only need that one wire. dont mess with making it fancy. the complete alternator is a ground so you dont need a special ground wire,.

These are two wire alternators from the factory; charging wire and exciter, no need to add anything else.
