Default Out of the blue- no Clutch

Car is fine yesterday, today I come out and have no clutch and no resistance. I'm not sure if the system has gotten air in it (the reservoir did seem low) or if my slave cylinder has went or something like that. I have had no intermittent problems- car was absolutely fine yesterday.

On another note, here is an extremely silly question but I want to make sure I use the right stuff. I've always heard Dot 3 brake fluid is the same as manual transmission fluid. Is this what GM uses for a manual tranny or is it another situation where they have their own **** like Dexcool? Thanks for any help.

Surely someone can answer the question about tranny fluid. Is it the same as Dot 3 brake fluid or not?

dot 4 for clutch fluid. you need to bleed it yourself or have somebody do it.

Same here. My car has been sitting for a month now. I beleive the Slave cylinder went on mine. I have enough pressure in the clutch to start the car but not shift it into any gear.
