Default Need Help!

I have a 2000 camaro z28 with a lq9 swap in it.
I have it stored for the winter and for some reason when i start it, it won't idle. I got it to idle once after warming up for about 35-45 minutes but now it doesn't seem to want to idle. Any help on what this could be?!

May a nice little rodent family made a cozy home on your air filter and ate your O2/MAP/IAC wires for breakfast.

Your battery might need a charge. When I stored my SS the battery was strong enough to start the car but it wouldn't idle. I charged the battery and all was good. This happened several times after letting it sit.

Yeah a 2 amp "trickle charge" over night is always good.

That makes no sense. Your alternator is what will keep your car running.

I didn't say it made sense it is just what happened. A few times I let the car sit too long and the battery went dead and other times it had just run down.

The car would start fine but I would have to 2 foot it to keep it running. After a short drive less than a mile I would put it back in the garage (still not idling) put a charge on it overnight and the next day it would run fine.

I am still using the same battery but this winter has been mild so I drive it more and haven't had a problem.

I was going to say the same thing when the battery gets low it makes the car idle higher so it can increase output from the alternator.

I need more of the symptoms of the car not wanting to idle, are the rpm's fluctuating up and down, or is the car stalling and dying.

If your rpm's are bouncing you could have a vacuum leak. Pop the hood and listen for a hissing noise, the most common leak is at the passengers side Pcv hose connection to the intake manifold right behind the throttle body. The hose could have rotted
