Penzoil plat!!!!!
I here good things on this baby, Im thinking of using it in my 02 ws6. I live in Texas so would the regular 5w-30 get the job done or use the 10w-30? Also I heard it quiets and smooths the motor down a lot!! Any info would be just fine and dandy.

I have run Pennzoil Platinum in my Formula for about 4 years or so. I like it. I run the 5W30. There isn't much difference at ambient temps in Texas except that the 5W will lubricate better cold, whether that be at cold start or when the weather is cooler.
I don't know that it makes the engine any smoother, but it is a good synthetic that is easily available.

I now run PP 5w30 and will continue to. My car used to consume at least a quart using mobil 1 or amsoil, no more consumption issues since switching to PP! The valvetrain noise was the same with all 3 oils I've tried on my car.

My mother in laws Maxima was doing the same thing with M1, so my father in law switched to Platinum. No more consumption! I run Platinum in my wife's car and normally whatever synthetic is on sale in my truck. I do 7500mi OCIs in my wifes car, normally about every 6 months, and the oil looks and feels great when it comes out. I actually used to take the used oil from her car and run it in my old lawnmower. The rings were bad and it used alot of oil so it never stayed in long enough to hurt anything.
