key resistance
key resistance ok i am having issues with my vats and security light and a intermitant no start. it will start if i wait the 4 minutes. i have done a lot of searching on here about the vats resistor bypass but am confused. both at the car the 2 white wires and on my key i am reading 4.74 ohms...what resistor is needed for this value?
according to your link wouldn't i be a #11 key...dont mean to correct just being sure?
so for 4.74 measured with 20k i would need a 4k resistor and a a 700ohm. i would connect them end to end to be in series right?

Thanks for the great help This absoloutly works! I had the same problem and just made up a bypass from the link in post #2 and it worked great No problems what so ever. Thanks for the help guys. One question though, will it last forever?
