Default knocking noise (not piston slap)

My engine has been making a knocking noise. The lifters are torqued to 22foot pounds and no change. It knocks no matter what the engine temp is, which leads me to believe it's not the piston slap that everyone talks about. It's a rebuilt motor with about 1000 miles on it. Changed the oil, no metal flakes, and no change with the knocking. When I put the car in gear and hold the brake in, the noise gets louder and the knocking a little more spaced out. Here is a video of the sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m593M...1&feature=plcp

Torque converter bolts may be loose or possibly a cracked flex plate.

I assume the sound goes up and down with engine speed? Check for exhaust leaks, tight spark plugs etc, may be rod knock. The whole engine was rebuilt? Take it back to the guy who rebuilt it and see what he says?

Not sure who built it I recent bought the car and it's been giving problems ever since I just want it fixed. Yes it speeds up with increased rpms it's really loud when first started in the mornings but quiets down when warmed up but still noticeable it sounds like a bad lifter knock but I know it's not them cause I have already set them any ideas

Hate to say it but it sounds like a spun bearing. If the engine was recently built someone might have made a mistake and installed the wrong rod bearing or maybe a valve is out of adjustment. It could be a lot of things and your going to have to get your ear as close to the noise as possible to figure out what it is.
