Does anyone know specifically which hose is which connecting to the heater core? My Z28 has no heat, I think the heater core needs backwashed. Anybody know which is the inlet and outlet?

Just remove both hoses from the water pump and use one of them to blow it out.......
Can you R/R the heater core through the glovebox opening? I hope the dash don't have to come out like the 3rd gens!
Yes you can. I think a good write up i used is on shbox website.
It's all done through the glove box but you have to take the glove box and bottom piece of that out. Easier than the 3rd gens!!! Still took me a night and half day to get through.
I tried backflushing my heater core because I had NO heat but I can't get the system bled out now. I got the theater core to flow full water bother ways. I disconnected the heater core hoses off the t-stat/waterpump area. I used compressed air and water to flush. I put the hoses back on filled the radiator with 50/50 dexcool and started her up. I can't get the system to flow though. The temp gauge went past 210 and both fans came on but I still had no heat. I don't know if the heater core is no good or not. Could a bad t-stat be the problem? I didn't get really bad stuff out of the heater core when flushed. Should I try replacing the T-stat?

Third gens you don't have to take the dash apart, but I will admit the top case bolt is a PITA on those. A little patience and the perfect length extension will do ya.
4th gen heater cores are done through the glove box. Biggest PITA I had when I did my 93 Z was getting the damn hoses off the core under the hood.

If you heat up to 210 and stay there, then no, do not replace the thermostat. Sounds like you rather have an HVAC airflow clog somewhere, or a blend door not swinging to hot. Also could be the core partially clogged. Definately not the thermostat if the engine coolant is heating up as designed and not overheating.

Hook a water hose to one of the heater lines and flow water through it, don't blow air in there. When you see water coming out the other line its full.
Yeah i think running air through there is what is causing this. As said run it all the way through with water then reconnect and follow bleeding procedure
