Default Front Vents Not Woring

Can someone help me. I have a problem. the front vents are not Blowing out any air. I thought it was the cable to flip them over until i looked under the hood and found a broken tube and broken check valve i think it is. so i took some pictures. can someone tell me what they are and if it has anything to do with the fact that the vents are not working, i took into a west bay auto store and even went thought the Gm parts manual but still could not locate the pieces. http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...r_banghead.gif please help[IMG] Uploaded with ImageShack.us[/IMG]

Yes, that is for sure your problem if you have not fixed it already. One line goes to the intake, one to the vacuum canister, and the functional one you are interested in goes to the HVAC inside the car. See here for some diagrams:
