Could a loose ground have caused my battery to burn up?
I put a new starter in yesterday, cranked it over when I was done.....everything was good....warmed up to OT and pulled out of the driveway made it about 200 ft all the electrical in the car flashed on and off (car stalled on and off in the same pattern) then it died completly...I heard an arcing kind of noise popped the hood smoke was coming from the neg terminal on the battery and some batt acid came out from where the side of the battery melted....could me possibly pulling a retard move and not having the ground snugged all the way, or having some of the rubber insulator caught between the contacts have caused this? Thanks in advance

check your cables at the starter, ensure you have them routed correctly and not pinched on or in between something. and check that you don't have them crossed at the starter.
but yea, if your battery was fine before you changed the starter, most likely you did something wrong so go back and check and pray you didn't fry the PCM.
