abs/brake/trac off light?

abs/brake/trac off light? Ok I've had this ongoing issue with my goat. This damn brake/ abs light comes on and gets annoyoing. Driving the car in the neighborhood streets the light never comes on but as soon as i get on the highway and about two minutes later after doing 60mph or so bammm the light comes on, and was told that it sounds like bad speed sensor.What is the best way to determine wether its a bad speed sensor or not, or is there anything else that might be causing this? Thanks

Are the tires stock? If not, what size are they. If they are a different circumference than the computer "thinks" are on the car, then that will cause your speed sensors to be different values than expected. If the difference between stock and actual is small, the end result will be magnified at higher speeds.

The car has aftermarket 18's although I switched to a 265/40/18 mt et street rears from
275/35/18 which were on when it was originally tuned

Verdad Gallardo By my calculations, you went from a 25.6" diameter tire to a 26.3" tire. If you didn't tune to compensate for this, it could be your problem.
If you are traveling 35 mph at the wheels, the PCM will think you are only going 34 mph. But at 65 mph, the PCM will expect that you are going 63, which may be enough for the ABS system to think something is wrong with the speed sensors.

One of the easiest things you can do before you start messing with your ABS module or your wheels/tires is check your wheel speed sensors on your rear wheels; if they're dirty they can cause the christmas-lights to go off on your dash...

I'm having the same issue, ABS INOP, BRAKE, and TCS OFF, lights on. Codes C0550 = ECU Malfunction Probable Cause; Failed EBCM (TCS)
& C0896 Out Of Range Voltage At The EBTCM Probable Causes; Charging system fault, Open or short circuit condition, Poor electrical connection, Failed relay condition, Ignition switch fault.
I'm the original owner and I'm at 137,000 miles. I have had the above codes come on and off for a couple of months, and have since replaced the front wheel hub assembly's that included wheel sensors, replaced alternator, and "just" cleaned the rear sensors for the first time, one had a strand of wire stuck to it (wire not in photo below).
Cleared codes, I'll have to drive it for about a week and see if codes come back, hopefully it was just the dirty rear sensors.

Cleaning the sensors didn't help, I'm getting the same issues. Is there any place that sells new or re-manufactured EBCM Electronic Brake Control Modules for a reasonable price?
