Ac compressor not kicking on
Any thoughts
I personally dont condone adding R134a via the cans. I know its cheap, and A/C service is not. But the BEST way to charge A/C is to vacuum it all out and recharge it. I like to add an oz of dye while recharging just incase I have a slow leak. Putting the system under a vacuum before charging removes all residual moisture and most of the contaminents that can cause A/C failure. Plus it makes sure you have ONLY refrigerant (and oil) in the system.
Holy ****. I work at a dealer and even if the compressor was 5-800 bucks thats a LOT. It only pays 0.9 hours in ALLdata not counting recharge! Are you sure that was JUST for diagnosis, compressor, and recharge???

disconnect the connector to compressor and give it power,
make sure clutch inguages.
then do it while car is running and see if it gets cold inside.
if it does, that means all mechanical is GOOD,
and you have a electrical issue
