Ac compressor not kicking on
Hey guys about one month ago my ac was blowing cold, now the ac is blowing but not cold at all. I noticed the revs weren't going up as it normally did in the past so uncheck under the hood and realized the compressor wasn't even cold. I tried throwing some freeon in their but nothing happened...
Any thoughts

Compressor is probably gone. Mine did the exact same thing. One day cold and then nothing. Good thing I purchased an extended warranty when I got my car. It was $1500+ to replace at dealership.

Assuming its full of charge (not moisture and air). You can turn the A/C control on and ground the pressure switch briefly and it should come on. Check fuses n swap relays too thats a simple thing to check. Otherwise check for 12v and ground at the compressor connector with the A/C commanded on.
I personally dont condone adding R134a via the cans. I know its cheap, and A/C service is not. But the BEST way to charge A/C is to vacuum it all out and recharge it. I like to add an oz of dye while recharging just incase I have a slow leak. Putting the system under a vacuum before charging removes all residual moisture and most of the contaminents that can cause A/C failure. Plus it makes sure you have ONLY refrigerant (and oil) in the system.
Holy ****. I work at a dealer and even if the compressor was 5-800 bucks thats a LOT. It only pays 0.9 hours in ALLdata not counting recharge! Are you sure that was JUST for diagnosis, compressor, and recharge???

swap the AC relay first and see what happens.
disconnect the connector to compressor and give it power,
make sure clutch inguages.
then do it while car is running and see if it gets cold inside.
if it does, that means all mechanical is GOOD,
and you have a electrical issue
