Knock sensor question I picked up a 98 ws6 a few days ago and trying to diagnose some issues. I had a CEL and got the codes pulled. Was an o2 sensor, and knock sensor. I was driving the car on the fuel they had in it (87 octane), and was wondering. Could that cause the knock sensor code? I filled up with 93 today and drove the car. Seemed to have cleared up a bit, but some hesitation is still there. Is it possible that was the issue and running a few tanks of 93 through it should cure the issue?
the wells where the KS are fill up with water......rusting the KS and corroding the wire harness.......get a new 99 (00?) and up KS and harness..........the 98 was a bastard yr and the newer parts will fit

Gonna bump my own thread with another KS question. Is there any difference in the 99-00 KS and harness and the 01-02 KS and harness? Im gonna just replace them both and the harness and RTV around the holes to keep moisture out while im in there.
Nope, 99-02 are the same, 98 is different.
