What kind of gap are you all using for the Delco plugs, or does it matter what plug brand? I wanted to change my plugs and don't recall what the gap is supposed to be and since the info in the manual calls for Platinum that should be gapped differently, I thought I would ask here.

For the conventional tipped plugs, I've used gaps anywhere between .050" and .060" with the same results.

The reason I asked was because I recently bought plugs, I asked for the plugs for my car- 2002 Trans am. I got delco 41-993 plugs. They were gapped at .060", which is what the old platinum plugs were gapped at. The car ran really crappy and bucked and surged under any kind of load. I checked and couldn't find any reference for an LS1 engine and that plug #. I told this to the shop owner, who swears that the 41-993 replaces the 41-110 and that's the correct iridium plug that delco calls out.
I now have .040" gapped 41-110 installed and the engine is happy again. My suggestion is to check the gap and to continue ordering 41-110 in the delco brand.
