Do you have a lot of squirrels where you live??
My fan was making a LOUD vibrating type of noise about 3 years back, and it turns out that the local tree rats were using the 'squirrel cage' fan as an acorn vault!!
The imbalance made it crazy loud, and killed it's volume capacity.
I cleared it out, put some dryer sheets, and cedar chips all around the interior and under the hood, and repellent all around the car.
problem solved.

Easy as can be to open and get to. Likely has a bunch of leaves in it like mine did. I forget about the kick panel, maybe it was push in clips? Dunno, but the blower is held in by 3 bolts. Just hold the thing up while you remove the bolts so it doesn't drop down on you or whatever. Oh, and unplug it first.
