Car won't turn over.

Car won't turn over. Okay, so I have a 02 z28 (m6) and when the car sits in the sun for a long while, I'll unlock the door with my key, the alarm will start to go off, and the car won't start.. I'm thinking it could be something with my starter because the car won't even turn over. But why would this only happen when the car sits in the sun? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

Yeah it's the factory alarm, and vats is still on. I've been wanting to take it off, but I just haven't had time to do it yet. And even if I put the key in my ignition the alarm will continue to go off

Are you turning the key our just putting it in? I recall that maybe you have to turn it at least one click?
If the alarm still goes off when you turn the key, it sounds like something in the BCM isn't working to deactivate the alarm on the key turn event.

Okay so I've been reading around on the forum and I've come to the conclusion that it is most likely vats that's doing it, so I'm gonna get my buddy to take it off with hp tuners today, and I'll post up the results later...
