Dome light flickers

Dome light flickers Has anyone had an issue with dome lights flickering? I will be in the car key in ignition and all the interior lights will turn on like the door opened and slowly fade out. once the vehicle is on or the key is out of the ignition and I am out of the car it doesn't happen....

This happens all the time - poor contacts on the bulb.
Are you using a regular bulb or LED. Usually you just need to fiddle with the contacts and get the bulb to seat better in the socket.

I also have the exact same problem in my 2002 ss just curious if anyone ever resolved this problem, I have a 2002 ss t top 6 speed 80k miles when I got it and it has flickered the dome light with the key in ignition off since the day I got it, done light acts normal with the ignition on and also with the key removed

(If your only problem is the bulb.) You either need to clean corrosion off the contacts or bend them in a little more to make better contact with the bulb.

The voltage drop part makes sense but I really didn’t think it had to do with bulb contacts because it’s a smooth shut off like it’s going off and then they pop back on in a couple seconds, I’ve walked away from the car and came back to them coming on and off a few minutes later, just doesn’t seem like contacts could make them come back on when they’re not supposed to
The original bulb has a filament, so it shuts off like a candle blowing out now matter what. If it was the RAP circuit, your other lighting would behave the same way. (Check the lights in the door handle, etc.)
It's not a voltage drop, exactly. The battery voltage is usually just under 13ish volts but the alternator puts out just above 14 volts. A higher voltage jumps gaps in contacts easier than lower voltages.
