Mine's been bent twice. Both times was able to fix with just some pliers to pry the tab back straight. It sure does **** me off when I warn them about it before yet it still happens.

Bought my car with the left one bent, (I found out later). It's just typical of the carelessness of most shop dorks. Thanks for the tips - I'll get mine straightened tomorrow.

I'll admit that I did this on my car, with the cheap GM scissor jack when I had a flat. I wasn't as lucky as everyone else though. Car went up with no problem, than as I was going to take the lug nuts off it the car dropped and the jack stayed where it was cause almost $3k in damage. Cracked the fender about an inch and had to be replaced and painted. I'm going to back a better jack to replace the GM piece and definately make sure I watch extra close from now on if I ever get a flat.
