Default Bleeding power steering...steering wheel jerks violently

I just converted my power steering lines over to the braided lines and now when I try to bleed the system with the car running the steering wheel will jerk violently to the lock and sometimes just back and forth. With the the car off the steering is very tough to turn. Am I missing something obvious?
thanks

As long as you didn't do anything to the rack or pump, the thing to check would be that your pressure and return lines are going to the correct ports on your rack.
