Default '98 Trans Am high beams not working

Hello awesome LS1 people!

I recently bought a 98 Trans Am, and just as the title says, my high beams aren't working. I try pulling the stalk toward me, but it's not making the distinctive 'click' I'd expect when pulling on it when trying to turn on the high beams. The stalk does 'click' when using the turn signals, and my turn signals are working just fine. Any ideas on what I should be checking out? Is the stalk even supposed to make a 'click' when pulling on it for high beams?

Thanks!

The stalk actuates a push rod in the column, which actuates a switch bolted to the base of the steering column. That switch is what makes the "click". http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/w...ck_Rebuild.pdf
