Default Best place to lift the body while dropping the engine from the bottom

I have searched and most of the videos show using the cherry picker to lift the body by the front frame rail but never an actual picture of how they are doing it. I tried looping a strap through under the front frame horns (through the coolant jug hole under the horns and back up through the same hole on the passenger side) but as the straps got tighter I could see it start to distort the thin metal where the holes are. I then tried wrapping a strap around the front frame rail but it began to slightly bend the metal that sticks out (where the spot welds are). I found using a piece of wood on the back side of the front frame rail protected the spot welds on the bottom of the rail but the ones facing forward still want to bend up as the strap tightens.

Anyone have a good picture of their setup?

If everything is detached and ready to just lift body from the engine and k-member assy, I lift it by the hood latch on radiator support. Once I have it high enough tilting on rear wheels, I then put my 6 ton jackstands under the frame rails. Also, I will put the the rear wheels up up ramps to keep the back end higher. Done it this way numerous times in and out. But I, personally, would rather pull front fascia and pull motor from top.

Also, I made a cart that is on 4" casters so I can remove wheels from car and roll it right out with struts still on.

Yup all done.Do you just loop a strap under the hood latch?. I wasn't sure if it was strong enough

I put mine thru the frame rails when i did it. It distorted the "straps" some howeve there was no issues at all. I dont think I would trust the hood latch assembly to raise it. Just my .02

Floor jacks, 4x4 wooden blocks some tall jack stands, engine hoist and tow strap. Best way is a tow strap between the frame/front bumper support where the sway bar connects. I've also lifted from the front radiator support but it was little by little with the floor jacks and engine hoist as I didn't want to put all that weight on the nose of the car. If the car is going to be in a funny car state for any length of time then standing jack stands. I used the radiator support my first time and I wouldn't recommend jacking the car from that alone. My .02

I looped a strap between the radiator support up top where the head light ground straps are bolted, not the base of the radiator support itself but I can see how placing a 2x4 there would give additional support.
