Default Rain + Car = NO VROOM VROOM (PROBLEM FOUND)

I put Hooker LTs on my car not too long ago and every time that it rains my car idles low (around 500 rpm) and seems to want to turn off. Any other of you had a problem like this? I have a new opti on it with new wires and plugs, but I know its not a coincidence that when it rains my car doesn't run right. any suggestions....?

my harmonic balancer was broken, and that is why mine would do stuff like that

Yeah the harmonic balancer tends to cause idle fluxuation, which could indeed result in a dying idle...

Default what do u guys think???

A friend of mine said that maybe it could be that my front o2 sensors are getting wet..... i guess that might be it since i spliced them and just made my own extensions. What do you guys think?????

Also today its raining in Houston, TX and it did this to me, can it be that the wires that i spliced are getting wet????

My cars SES light starts blinking when my car is driven in the rain, so do you guys still think its my harmonic balancer????

i think it's your 02 Sims. cover them up real good so they won't get wet. again, this is just my opinion. try it and see what happens.

I HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM! No one knows what it is, ever since my headers went on my car runs terrible in the rain, i have posted many times and no one really knows. Not even the shop that put mine in. Good luck finding an answer, let me know if you find out.

Die-Electric Grease solved my problem, it was the at the Boot on the Optispark. Did you use it when we reinstalling your wires from your header install? I had the call AAA 3 times over 2 months because of that.

FINALLY SOLVED THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was the o2's, not that they were bad, its just that when i put on the LT's instead of buying the o2 etensions, i cut them and made them longer myself. I guess the wires were getting wet when it rained, causing it to act all crazy! Got new o2's, and o2 extensions, and now that I drive through the rain, nothing crazy happens!!!! THanks for the advice guys.
