headlight problem
headlight problem (tried searching) hey guys i have a couple questions about the headlights on my 99 transam.
when i shut the headlights off they still go up and down fine but once they close they make a LOUD grinding noise for a few seconds.
i am assuming this is the gear or the motor, but im wondering if i could be wrong, and where i can get the parts so i dont have to replace the whole assembely.
about the same time this started happening, my headlights started popping up and down when i hit my keyless entery, or even if i lock the doors from inside the door..........any ideas on that?
they also come up when i turn the switch to the middle (taillights and fogs) position on the switch....
any help will be greatly appretiated

Go to the above link it will tell you everything about your problem and how to fix it for good. The keyless entry problem I had the same problem and was fixed when I changed out the gears for the ones in the link above. Everything works fine now. The gears that comes stock are horrible. Good luck.

There is a free fix and a brass gear replacement. The brass gears are at the top of BFranker's page and the free fix is lower down.

Hey im having the exact same problem!!!!!!!!!! mine is a 98 and having to take it to the dealership to get it fixed!!!! everytime my headlights go down one of them makes a horrible grinding noise...yes they even do it when i lock the car...this sucks!!!!
