You have a draw in your electrical system . If you know somebody with a VOM meter , you can measure miiliamps with it . Anything over about 30 milliamps is a bad thing . Disconnect the positive lead at the battery. Set the meter to 10 amps, put one lead of the meter on the positive battery terminal , put the other lead to the disconnected battery cable which puts the meter in series . It will give you a reading on the display of the meter. Next , go to the fuse boxes and remove one fuse at a time , then put the fuse back in. If you see a large drop in the meter's reading , you have the circuit to start investigating. Most battery powered leads in an F-body are a orange colored wire. Also , try to unplug the small plug in the alternator, sometimes the internal voltage regulator will be stuck in the on position and drain a battery quickly . It will still recharge the battery when car is running and drain it when the car is off.Let us know your findings.

i had some do that and they said that the power was not getting back to the battery but that the altenater was goo and so was the batt but the alt was not sending power to the batt so they told me to try a fuseable link on the line but the fuse keeps blowing and draining my batt only when i drive it ......oh just in case you were wondering its a 1997 is ther any solution for that thank you

There's a small box directly behind the battery that is a junction for the positive leads. Disconnect the main large battery wire from the alternator after disconnecting the positive battery cable . There's a nut in the junction box that will allow the cables to be seperated after it is removed. With everything disconnected , measure for resistance to ground on the alternator lead, there shouldn't be any . If there is , you might have a melted lead that is going to ground.
