how do you remove engine from bottom?

Default how do you remove engine fromm bottom

Can someone walk me through removing my engine from the bottom?

yank it on the k member. not that bad if you have a shop. but then you have to disonnect the brakes stearing, etc..

How the fawk do you remove an engine through the bottom? It won't fit through the framerails...?

no it wont fit between the k-member if you pull it out on the k-member problem solved. we need pics i dont have any. sorry

Why would anyone want to do it that way though? Seems like so much extra work?

maybe dont wanna seperate the engine and tranny. or maybe dont wanna take all the radiator and such out.

i pulled the engine through the bottom, only took me a couple of hours, its easy as hell as long as you have lift. disconect the drive shaft, the fornt brake lines, pull the wiring harness from the inside of the car, unbolt the six bolts that hold the k member, and lift the car right off the engine and transmission.

the car is built that way. thats also the "correct" way to remove the engine from the car. yes it can be done the other way out the top. but if you know what your doing and have the ability to drop it out the bottom id suggest that way.

4 hours total time to having the motor in front of the car, torn down to a long block without any accessories on it. Seems faster to me.
