"brake" light won't turn off

"brake" light wont turn off..help!! ok so today i left my house and pushed down the brakes a little at a stop light cuz they werent warmed up yet and i heard a click and the "brake" light turned on like as if i had the park brake on. does anyone know how to turn this light off? its driving me nuts! thanks!

just play with your hand brake, im sure it is the switch in there. give the hand brake a few good pushes down

Im not sure, but im preety sure the "Brake" light will only come on due to the handbrake, the ABS light will come on if there is a problem with the ABS. Im not sure, but this is what i think. Goodluck.
