Question Problems with turn signals....

Im having some issues with the turn signals they act really slowly sometimes. Im thinking that the turn signal flasher. I have of course like everyone else changed the front bulbs a few times about a year ago i guess. I changed the back ones already looking for any problems. The turn signal lights are always on and none of them are out. Anyone ever changed the turn signal flasher? By the book its under the dash on the right side of the steering wheel column. Any help appreciated!

Thanks
Jason

Blinker-problem thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/pontiac-firebird-1967-2002/256013-got-problem-my-lights.html

One of the links in my post goes to a thread with photos of the flasher location.

I have the same problem , but my problem is because the socket for the front turn signal bulb is trashed . Looks like it had a bad connection to the bulb and overheated . I would check your bulb sockets if that flasher fix dont work out .

It is the flasher for sure. I just solved the problem on mine the week after I got it because it was going so slow and my girlfriend said it looked like it was about to die. Get in there and spend under $2.00 and 5 minutes of your time and it will be worth it.

I would simply swap in a new flasher. $4.99 for a new electronic flasher will probably eliminate the prob, but like stated above, if your plug harnesses are warped/cracked/otherwords jacked, then they're probably the culprit.

If you can't find the flasher under the dash, check out this picture, it shows everything!

Are they pretty much the same from 1993-up?
