A/C only blows HOT air ???

My car only blows hot air with the A/C on. It worked last summer when I bought the car. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks.

yeah, my last camaro ran out of a/c coolant or whatever its called, went to autozone got two cans and recharged the a/c and cold as ice.

Do it yourself: Go to the parts store and buy a cheap gauge/recharge kit and 1 can of refrigerant. You can't screw it up because the gauge hose will only fit the low pressure side of the system (at the accumulator). If the pressure is low, add from the can until its in the normal range (around 24psi). -If there is a bad leak the pressure will drop off quick. -Fire up the car and turn on the AC and see if it works. If not, check and make sure the compressor is engaging. If not, could be several things (compressor, resistor, relay, fuse, pressure solenoid, etc).
Have it done by a professional: Drive to mechanic, do not pass go and bring some bucks with you. (I did this recently to the tune of $900 + for manifold hose, accumulator and compressor 'cause I didn't have time to deal w/it)

buy the $35 kit at your local auto parts store.... follow the directions....

and before you do that ... pop your hood, find your AC compresser.... make sure the belt did not pop off or break... if it did it would not have thrown a code of made a noise or anything... simply check that first... then do the kit...

If your car is now only blowing hot air, as has been said it needs regassing. Just an after thought, you haven't got a ricer trapped underneath somewhere have you.
