I've got headers and a pretty aggressive cam, no funny noises here. I do get what I would consider to be a moderate amount of oil in my catch can, that's gotten worse with the cam. I think that is just from turning higher rpms latley with the big bump stick. The only noises I hear at start up is a deep rumble out the back, and the sewing machine under the hood.

When I check the level on the dipstick, it hasn't moved in almost 8000 miles, so I'm pretty sure none of it is getting in the intake.

Haven't seen a problem w/ my GC and I run it in 100 degree weather on the 405 during rush hour.

I didn't get any valvetrain noise with my LT's and I use German Syntec. As long as I can find it, I will keep running it. If not, I'll go back to Mobil 1 0W40.An aggressive cam will make more noise because the valves will be hitting the seats harder and the lifters hitting the lobes harder.

My car consumed quite a bit of oil when I used the german castrol. I am switching to mobil 10-30.

Well I'm not the only one that has found something not right with this oil.

The GC 0w30 sucks in my Car (Just like any other oil does)after 800 mile on my new GC I have sucked approx 3/4 of a quart. My LS1 is a POS though.I cant wait to get my 408.My LS1 Has drank EVERY Oil I can throw at it since my Header install 4 years ago,and it only has got worse with my H/C Combo.M1 ,RP ,Valv,Castrol,Amsoil you name it.So I think I will go to Dino oil(LOL)

Then you'll use even more oil. Mobil 1 10w30 is much thinner, and people I know who went from M1 to GC have seen a big improvement in consumption. So if you go the opposite way, you'll see more consumption.
