the new dexcool is orange. the green stuff is probably the old school stuff and will need changing sooner.

flush it,and replace with DEXCOOL --OR--similiar coolant that says COMPATIBLE WITH DEXCOOL only....NOT GREEN COOLANT...orange stuff does not eat aluminum like old school stuff---I would do it right away--sooner the better--hopefully the light will go off-if not,you should get it checked---Best advice:just go to a radiator shop and let them flush and fill....good luck...

Make sure you flush it good and soon, the two do not mix well at all.

When you change back to Dexcool, don't believe the GM line about 5yr-10000000 miles. Flush it about every three years or so and it will have no problems. Dexcool is very sensitive to air infiltration, non-distilled water, and non-approved additives. Keep away from them as much as possible.
