Default front jack points?

I think this the right forum, but if not I'm sorry..

Where's the best place to jack up the front of the car for a simple oil change?

Right behind the front tire under the z28/ss logo's you'll see the frame rails open up to a bigger pad, then it goes vertical up to fire wall.

There's a little rail-like tab at the front on each side, about 4 or 5 inches long with a couple of bolts... DO NOT USE THOSE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Using those tabs as jacking points will end up bending the fenders. I know the veterans consider that a no-brainer, but I'm a stupid newbie and managed to do that a couple of days ago... the driver's side says "do not jack" or something like that on it, but I looked at the passenger side first and it didn't say anything. Don't make my stupid mistake!

Sorry if you already knew that.

Yup. Took the Z/28 in to the shop to tac weld some tips for me being I didn't have a welder. I asked the guy if he has worked on F-Body's and Mustangs before and he was familiar with them. Ok good, I'll take his word for it. I go get me a soda, come back and see the lower fenders sticking out!!! WTF, I know they did not do what I think they did. yup. Those fvckers at meineke put the lift blocks on the rails in the front of the car under the fender.

Luckily at the dealership I have access to all i need and dont have to drive the car from one shop to another to get something done.

I bought the rhino ramps, and I can't get the car up on them.

It keeps sliding forward, I even put two cinder blocks in front the ramps, and it still kept sliding forward. Anyone know what I could do?

I had the same problem, I tied a length of rope on the back of the ramps and and put it under the back tires, it holds the ramps as you are driving up.

i use some 2/12s that I cut with an angle and stacked a few high..

cheaper than ramps, wider for the tires, and i made them....
