Take a small punch and hammer and knock the center out. Then drill them out.

just got finished replacing mine today, used a regular drill bit. When you're putting it back in make sure you put it back in the correct order....I hope I never have to replace one again.

Doesn't make any sense, a regular drill bit would just break it off, no?

Drill bit to break the rivets, then replaced with 32x3/8 small nuts and bolts.

What he said. You will have to destroy the rivets and replace them with nuts and bolts.

Metal Drill bit for rivets. Make sure your using a bit made for metal and not wood and you should be fine. Did a ball joint a few weeks ago, no troubles

Go to NAPA and they can get you a box of 25 for what Chevy charges for 4. Theyy are 1/4" rivets so a regular gun will not put them in. I ordered one off ebay for $10 and used rivets instead of bolts. I did my PS about a year ago and the bolts, nuts with lock washers are loose. I will replace the nuts with rivets next weekend.

Just use a 1/4" drill bit and drill through the fiberglass right on top of the rivet and it will come off easy takes about 20 minutes a side. THe new motor should come with nuts and bolts I use loctite and the lock washers both as they have a tendency to back off and become loose. You will end up with three small holes 1/4' but saves a bunch of time and headache, and no harm done. Good luck!
