Default best oil filter

i searched but was hoping to get some current opinions on whats the best oil filter. I plan on running 5w30 mobil 1 full synthetic

I usually run the ACdelco filter PF46. Have heard good things about WIX filters, I'll be using one of those next.

I use the PF-49 with the anti-drainback valve.

I use K&N as well. Supposedly that flows the best.

SEARCH!!!! I know you said you searched, but if you did and found any real percentage of what is out there you really shouldn't have to ask this question. What oil/filter to use is brought up a LOT, you should be able to find multiple threads about this from the past few months alone.

K&N, Mobil 1, Wix are all very good bets.

i use mobil 1 full syn. and a special filter just for fully syn. oil..forget what its called though

wix is the best value for your money. If you want to spend the dough however, mobil 1 and K&N are the top of the line filters

well i bought the k&n filter, how many quarts do you guys generally use? 6?

I use the Mobil 1 M 206 filter because it is slightly longer than our stock filter. Also you may want to switch the weight of the oil you are using to something higher. Mobil 1 is a thin oil by nature. Their 30W are actually closer to a 20W. I used to run the Mobil 1 10W-30 and would burn a quart every 3,000 miles. Switching to their 5W-40 full syn solved that problem for me.
