Default Help...problem With Ls1

When accelerating at anything over 10% throttle I hear a very noticable barking noise that seems to be coming from underneath the center console. It is very sharp and brief as if I were barking the tires on a semiquick takeoff. Anyone know what this is and is it covered by my GM warranty???

It sounds like it could be the trans-mount or tourque-arm.

But those tend to be more of a bang than a bark.

yah I have the same problem when the automatic tranny shifts at harder acceleration it will clunk under my center cousole for a brief second then once the shift is engaged no more clunk. So I ordered a trans mount to see if that will fix it.

turned out it was the tranny and it was screwed, it was slipping. So now I had warrenty and so I got it replaced except the place I took it too I know fairly well, and so I got a hopped up tranny, with full perfromance parts shift kits etc, can't get anything else in it. But as far as the dealership knows that payed the bill they think the transmsion place next door to them that I took it too put a rebuilt stock tranny. lol
