Default window motor ?

I replaced my drivers side window motor in june. I bought one from Autozone and now in september the window will not roll up it the motor is just clicking. When it went out in june I new it because it started stopping and then just crapped out but this one just crapped out. Does this sound like a motor or a bad connection. I will be tearing it out tomorrow but would like to get some oppinions on the matter.
Thanks in advance for any posts.

sounds like a stripped motor gear, is it a gm replacement or the cheapy?

Although I just replaced my driver side motor (again) with a Autozone lifetime model, I'd also be interested in that GM p/n for future reference

Funny you ask
I just fixed mine again yesterday with the same problem.
I bought the lifetime one from autozone and it works fine. I have a vert so its constantly up and down.
The screws came loose and the window motor fell.
It started clicking for a week and would slowly go up until it finally fell off.
Made that same clicking noise. Make sure you torque them on hard as hell. Use a 90 degree socket the hold the nut in the back. That door takes alot of abuse so good luck

OK so I replaced the window motor tonight and when I took it out, the Motor it self was full of water. I am not sure if this was because of my broken window bracket at the top of the door. Anyone else have this problem?

Just right now, my piece of crap window motor... 2nd one in like 3 months I've replaced new, went out...and the window is stuck down... AGAIN. Fortunate enough for me, THIS time, it's not F'ing raining on my leather! Any ideas why in the hell these things die? Last one I pulled was a replacement, and tested it without a load and NADA, this one is doing the SAME thing... no noise, no movement, just dead. The switch works fine and the window rolls up and down perfectly with a new unit, any ideas?

I looked everywhere for that part number, both my motors went out within a week of each other, I called the dealership and the guy told me to order this larger motor, maybe give gm parts direct a call?

The guy doesn't work there anymore, and nobody else knew, I've also checked online and couldn't find it.

might be a motor from a diff vehicle just same design (vettes maybe?)

My windows go up and down fast even with tints, and havn't given me any showing of trouble since the replacement.

My newest motor seemed to roll up and down extremely fast, and sound healthy... no warning whatsoever, just DEAD...
