IMO oil is oil. my dad owns a few quick lubes and he said the only reason mobile1 is recommended anyway is bc they pay GM to put there name on it...and people think thats the only stuff that they can put in there car. i believe next year auto manufacatures are gonna as far as start recommending a certain brand of gas like BP or Exxon or somethin. and stupid people are gonna think that ONLY that gas should be used in their cars lol. pretty much the same thing here with our cars and mobile1. mobile1 works just as well as valvoline synthetic or any of the other top brands. now if you're one of those idiots that likes to go 6,000 miles w/o changin ur oil, might wanna go mobile1

The "idiots" running the same oil for 5 or 6,000 miles are doing so under controlled conditions with UOA's to verify how well their oil is working. These are intelligent people who understand what they are doing with their oil. Choose your words wisely. This is LS1tech.com not shoot from the hip.com.

im referring to the people that come into my dad's shop and we see that they are like 3-4,000 miles overdue and we tell em and they're like "oh i wasnt payin attention to the miles"....those people. not people who do so with a very good reason. im refering to people who could basically care less about their cares and how they are treated. sorry i'll pick the words to use better next time.

Indeed...my dad is an old school mechanic. He looks at the color of the oil to decide whether it's dirty or not. I've been trying to teach him that it doesn't matter and there are oil tests that are done that show dirty oil to be completely fine and still useable. He's starting to believe some stuff.

Bump it was a request to eliminate it. My guess is that you understand this & are having some fun with me. Please, please, please lock it, remove it, blow it up, or whatever it takes not to be found here. Thank-you

Synthetic or regular? You decide for yourself...this is my former Indiana state police LS1 with 125,000 HARD miles on it. Motor also still has cross hatching on cyl walls, only thing that shows any sign of ware is the camshaft. My 145,000 mile motor has minimal cam wear also (saw it when I changed intakes) Synthetic is not worth double the price IMO.

Most ppl confuse Regular RP oil with the RP race oil.. for their motor and get dissipointing results.. I have allways used RP in my 3 camaros i have had. works great for me..I recently looked Threw a Magazine that showed the break down of a few leading motoroils 2 of them being RP & Moble1. I would have to guess most ppl would Use MOBLE 1 over RP is the LOCATION to purchace the oil. you cant walk into WALLMART and get it.. just my 2cents
