Tail Light Lenses Dented??

Tail Light Lenses Dented??? Both of my tail light lenses have dents in them in the same place. The driver's side is worse. They are not cracked or anything. It does not look like they were hit. I think it could have been caused from the 100 degree Dallas heat. Has anyone heard of anything like this?

It has happened to a number of people's Camaros 
Many of them used blackout-covers, but some didn't.
