stuck @ WOT sometimes accelerating to up shift, my throttle would fly up to the rev limiter,
I have to shift to 6th or just kill the ignition while in motion to fix this.
could this be a computer issue or something else making my TB stick open at WOT?
im not really driving the car anymore mainly because im afraid to get killed or hurt someone else.

last time it happened I killed the ignition, popped the hood ( in the middle of a 4 way intersection) and closed the throttle body blade.
It was kinked/stuck wide open. Then i went to start it and it went WOT again, just on starting it, i didnt touch the throttle at all. I got out and closed the TB blade again and was able to put it into 3rd to get it off the street then home.
I saw that the cruise control was on at the time of the last problem.
Also there are 2 cables, 1 I think is the cruise control cable? it was disconnected.
I will have someone look at it asap.

Yes, the second cable is Cruise Control. What happens when you step on the gas (engine off, hood open, and watching the cables while a buddy works the pedal)?

Pewterpowre, I have noticed that when I go to manually close the TB, the throttle cable jumps.
Is this a common problem with an out of whack TB/cable? stuck @ wot?
I havent had a chance to have it looked at yet, Im in the process of moving.

Stuck at WOT... Check to make sure the return spring on the throttle body is not broken or missing... Also check for fraying of the cables. Sometimes you can't see the frays and need to take both the cables off the throttle body and check for snagging in the cable housings. I don't mean to make you sound stupid but I have seen the floormats get caught on the acclerator pedal as well. Check that as well....
