Default gm quality

So I'm driving along when all of a sudden my passenger side sunvisor falls out of the headliner into the seat. Scared the **** out of me and I couldn't stop laughing for a little while. Looks like the swivel arm thingy just sheared off. How does this happen? For a 3500 lb car i'd expect some extra beefy sunvisor mounts.

i dont think its a gm issue................ I would thing the extra vibrations from a choppy cam and the extra resonance from the exhaust mayeb the fastening screw loosented up slightly allowing the visor to rock on the mounting and sterss the swivel

The fastening screws were all tight, and i'm sure the lope of my little 222 cam doesn't compare to the stresses put on it during normal driving (bumps, potholes, etc).

Thanks man. I had no idea this was a common problem.
