Default So, Wal-Mart sucks more... (refused oil change)

I went to wal-mart to get my oil/filter changed. I had purchased the oil already, and had the filter in the front seat (they don't have Mobil-1 fileters). I wait for about an hour for them to get to my car, then they REFUSE to change the oil because I have an 'aftermarket drain plug'. Apparently it was against policy.

Now, keep in mind I've had it changed there before, so long as I provide the drain plug tool.

It's that hour of my life that pisses me off so much. I would just do it myself, but my car is really low and difficult to get on ramps, plus I was in the area and the only change about $8.

Yeah, I've got ramps, but I'll need to gather up some wood to transfer it to the ramps. Just venting....... thanks for listening.

I understand your car is low and hard to get onto ramps, but you should be ashamed you brought your car to Wal-Mart. Jack the damn car up you've got SFCs if your jack isn't low enough of a profile then go buy a new one.

Here is the jack I bought.

I carry it in my car in case I get a flat. It would suck to be on the road with a flat and no way to change it. Oh yeah.. it works for changing oil too!

*ring ring, hey friend can I come to your house and change my oil?*
Maybe he should have brought it somewhere other than Wal-mart to get it changed, it's tough love.

Like I said, NO OFFENSE, sorry if you are. Wal-Mart is not the only other place to get your oil changed. If you just stricktly don't have time you could try Pepboys. At least they are an automotive store and specialize in cars and not a Wal-Mart super-store with everything else. Maybe he doesn't live near one. Then MAYBE. If you read his post, he said he was going to change it himself anyway. Therefore my comment is not so "unthought".

Hehe yea. Definitly gonna try it out. Only thing I'd do different is use wood glue between each sheet, or liquid nails, then use screws.

I've heard stories of lube shops forgetting to put the oil filter on or even the bolt for the pan... if it's true I dunno...
