Believe it or not, a K&N oil filter. It just goes to show that you can get a filter which flows well, but still obviously filters well too.

Hey Patman do you still run the German Castrol? What color is it when you take it out after normal intervals?

Yep, I'm still running the green German Castrol. As far as normal intervals, I have never changed my oil sooner than 5000 miles in this car, so I think that's probably higher than most of you consider normal.

I notice that my oil stays clean for a long time, for the first 3 or 4k after an oil change the oil on the dipstick still is pretty clear looking. Only after that point does it begin to darken, but it never gets anywhere near looking black.

Yeah mine was still greenish and clear at about 3500. 1000 miles later, its not as clear, but still looks good.

I couldnt find the German Castrol anywhere in my area. I ended up cleaning out a walmart on recent vacation to Canada
